Junior / Mid Back End Developer

Dorset Creative have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and energetic Back End Developer who will work alongside our team of designers, architects and developers, to contribute to building and maintaining an exciting platform that is available across web and mobile.

The focus is on the users and providing a data-driven, rich user experience. Experience with data-driven, analytical application development (in Java) and RESTful API architecture will be a bonus, to help the project be a huge success.

You will be responsible for building the back end of web pages, mobile apps, online and offline software. In order to succeed, the role requires experience with coding languages and frameworks including REST API, NoSQL, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, HTML5 and CSS. You will have an understanding of Agile development, test-driven development, unit testing, code reviews and you should love design documentation.

You will have excellent written and oral skills, demonstrable interpersonal and organisation abilities, be enthusiastic about technology and constantly looking for the next innovation. You must be able to work in fast-paced environment. Flexibility and tolerance is a necessity.
