What is the Crown Commercial Service (CCS)?

The CCS works with over 17,000 customer organisations in the public sector with services presented by more than 5,000 suppliers. The CCS are responsible for managing the acquirement of common goods and services, so public sector organisations with similar needs achieve value by buying as a single customer. They bring together policy, advice and direct buying, providing commercial services to the public sector and saving money for the taxpayer.

We are on the G-Cloud framework which enables us to deliver our effective range of specialist services directly to the public sector organisations through the CCS. To obtain acceptance onto the framework, suppliers are legally required to meet a set of minimum standards. We were assessed by the government to ensure we hadn’t broken any laws in the last 5 years, and they confirmed how we work to their working practices.

We had to supply information on our services to determine which category the company applied to. This process was significant because it enabled us to determine our specialist services and how prominent they are compared to our competitors. G-Cloud services are distributed into 3 categories: cloud hosting, cloud software and cloud support.

Cloud hosting suppliers:

Offer cloud platform or infrastructure services that can assist buyers to deploy, manage and run software, as well as processing, storage or networking resources.

Cloud software suppliers:

Offer applications that are accessed over the internet and hosted in the cloud

Cloud software suppliers:

Offer services to help buyers set up and maintain their cloud services

Once accepted onto the framework, the CCS monitors credit scores and performs random spot checks on our services to ensure they match the information provided in our applications. This displays to you that we are trustworthy, and you can depend on us to excel expectations.
